this is the photo of me as taken in front of Maya Barkai’s Walking Men 99 art piece in my neighborhood. This was snapped by Canadian photog Kelly Jeffrey in Oct 2010 while I was enroute to my studio for an interview about the legendary Nihilist Spasm Band. When I saw it a week later there was something about it that I really responded to-walking w the crowd, but not of it; minstrel-city-traveling musician… The suggestion of moving across all these cities was lost when we exchanged it for album title, but here is the original… this picture somehow said “album cover” to me, although at that point I had only 3 or 4 acoustic things going and was not yet thinking about making a record. but that photo, in the end it kinda spurred me on to make the songs that’d go behind it’s cover…
